I Currently work for Pearson Inc. as a Quality Assurance Engineer
for Blindness Technologies testing digital content including
certification exams for compliance with the web content accessibility
guidelines (WCAG) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of
1973.
I Conduct accessibility testing with various assistive technologies
including JAWS, NVDA, Voiceover, Narrator, and a number of refreshable
braille displays.
I Work with Pearson product developers to make the testing platforms
WCAG compliant, but most importantly prviding the native user
perspective when it comes to assistive tech and how the end users will
access the platforms.
I Demonstrate the use of assistive technology with various Pearson
test delivery systems.
I Prepare documentation and audio presentations showing candidates
how they can take the tests using assistive technology.
