Information About my
Trainings
Training Formats
Currently, I offer trainings either virtually or in-person. Virtual
trainings are offered through the Zoom platform. You are welcome to
schedule the Zoom training through your own Zoom account. If you do not
have a Zoom account, I can schedule the training using the Simeone
Consultancy Zoom account.
In-person trainings can be offered where you like, but you will need
to pay for all travel, lodging, and meals associated with my attendance.
When considering an in-person training, remember I live in the area of
Portland, Oregon. If you would like the training done in your city, you
will need to cover the costs mentioned previously.
Accessible Trainings
All materials (whether part of a virtual or in-person training)
provided by me will be fully accessible. If anyone attending the
training needs additional accommodations, those accommodations must be
provided by you. If you need assistance in figuring out how to
accommodate anyone you would like to attend a training, I can certainly
help you figure out how you can provide the needed accommodation.
A Special Note on
Presentation Delivery
When I give a training, virtual or in-person, I read the contents of
each slide. The reason for this is I have attended many trainings that
have not been accessible because presenters often assume everyone can
read the screen. But even though I read the text of every slide and
describe important images, I regularly add information that is not on
the slides. This means that no one attending the training can learn
everything they should learn from the slides and that everyone has the
same access to the entire presentation.
Sample Training
Even Though Simeone Consultancy focuses on legal compliance, Desiree
and I both believe in the principals of disability justice. For that reason, I have made a training on disability justice available free of charge. Even if you
are primarily interested in legal compliance, you can use this free training to get a feel for how I present my trainings.
